mostly through the main office of
DISOP in Brussels,
Belgium,
various activities/arrangements such as co-financing schemes with the
Belgian government and international funding agencies like: the European
Union, World Bank, IFAD and FAO.
Fund
Management
The Foundation enters into fund management arrangements with other funding
agencies. Under this arrangement, the Foundation provides the following
services:
1. Screen, select, develop and endorse projects for funding;
2. Provide technical assistance and linkages;
3. Conduct seminars and conferences for the partners;
4. Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of projects;
5. Provide year-end reports to the funding agency.
Through years of experience, the Foundation has developed its fool-proof
fund management technology, which includes criteria/guidelines
formulation/development, forward mechanisms, project concept/proposal
appraisal and development with the Logical Framework tool, monitoring and
evaluation systems development, etc...
Networking
To ensure program sustainability, the Foundation consciously links with
LGUs, Philippine government agencies, Research Centers and Universities
(in the Philippines and abroad), partner NGOs, Philippine NGOs network (PHILDHRA)
and funding agencies (in the Philippines and abroad). It also encourages
its partners to generate public support through networking, marketing and
promotions and media-related activities.
DISOP-Phils. also works in collaboration with a Belgian consulting agency
S.A.B.I.C., Brussels, Belgium and a guarantee fund called "Fund for
Economic and Social Welfare" in Belgium.
